Junior/Mid Level Software Engineer Job Description Middleton/Greater Manchester Salary 20k to 25k A British technology company that develops Video Management Software (VMS) and manufactures hardware products for the CCTV surveillance and PSIM markets are looking for a Software Engineer to join there growing team. The company is a research and development facility located at Meyertech’s headquarters in Manchester, Great Britain where all the innovation takes place, creating new products, new applications and developing class-leading services that are helping to transform our industry. Due to increasing projects we are expanding our IT Department and actively looking for a suitable Junior Software Developer candidate with strong technical knowledge and experience to join our Development Team. The Fusion Software Engineer, under the guidance of the Fusion Manager, has the following responsibilities. 1. To develop and maintain the Windows based CCTV control and management system using C#, .NET and C++. The development process is broken down into the following areas: a. Researching new technologies and originating new concepts, ideas and processes. b. Planning and managing the design, implementation and testing of Fusion sub-projects. c. Producing documentation for installation engineers and end-users. d. Interacting with 3rd party development partners. 2. To provide in-house and customer support with respect to the Fusion software. The Fusion Software Engineer must possess the following skills: 1. C# .NET 2. C++ 3. OOD Experience of the following technologies would be an advantage: 1. WPF, WCF 2. Networking Protocols 3. Media Streaming Protocols
