Salary - £24,000 - £28,000 Negotiable, based on experience

Job Description:

Our success is down to the talented people like you who work with us. As the Web QA & Tester you would be responsible for day-to-day testing of prioritised change through Agile.

Working as an integrated member of the agile team, within the Web Team, you will work closely with the Development Team Leader, Business Analysts and Technical Director to help ensure quality and innovation are at the forefront of our QA practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that development work meets specifications and is delivered to the highest quality within the sprint timelines.

You will also play a role within our Support department, triaging development issues, applying fixes where possible and working with the developers and other team members to find a speedy resolution to the issue.

Key Requirements

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Carry out browser & device testing and feedback issues to the dev team

  • Day to day review and acceptance of development issues

  • Performance, HTML CSS & accessibility validation testing

  • Apply fixes for issues in content management systems, HTML, CSS and PHP

  • Support the developers with key development tasks

  • Participate with the team in Agile planning, retrospectives and reviews

  • Design tests and acceptance criteria under own direction

  • Performance estimates of testing effort required for backlog items

  • Understand specifications, business requirements and acceptance criteria

  • Review user stories and issues for quality and testability

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, end users and others

  • Triage and report support issues & client feedback

  • Participate in and practice continual improvement for products and company actions & processes

  • Help develop automated testing practices and processes
