Job Description:
Our success is down to the talented people like you who work with us. As a Front End Developer you’ll work on stimulating and varied projects including ecommerce & marketing websites, web applications and mobile applications, across a range of clients and sectors. As a talented and enthusiastic Front End Web Developer, you’ll be interested in progressing your development knowledge and the overall skills and knowledge of the team.
Working as an integrated member of the agile team, within the Web Team, you will work closely with the Development Team Leader, Business Analysts and Technical Director to help ensure quality and innovation are at the forefront of our development.
We’re looking for a candidate that has 3+ years commercial experience, and can bring some new skills and techniques to our growing Web Team. We focus on WordPress, mobile app development and bespoke content marketing tools that are primarily built with JavaScript, or JavaScript frameworks.
Essential Skills
Outstanding HTML and CSS
Experience of CSS preprocessors (SASS / LESS)
Excellent knowledge of Javascript
Good working knowledge of PHP and MySQL
Strong experience in WordPress theme development
Understanding of version control, specifically Git
Understanding of gitflow
An appetite for personal learning and development, and an interest in the state and shape of the frontend industry.
Desirable Skills
Good knowledge of UX principles
Experience with Magento front end development
AngularJS, Angular, ReactJS, or similar frameworks
Mobile app development
An understanding of Agile, specifically Scrum
